Dieffenbachia ‘Star Bright’

Description:
Dieffenbachia 'Star Bright' is a striking tropical houseplant known for its elongated, lance-shaped leaves with vibrant green and yellow speckled variegation. This unique variety of Dieffenbachia adds a fresh and lively touch to indoor spaces while also serving as an excellent air purifier. It is a relatively low-maintenance plant, making it a great choice for both beginners and experienced plant enthusiasts. Watering:
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, keeping the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. Reduce watering slightly in Winter when growth slows, but avoid letting the soil dry out completely, as this can cause leaf drooping.

Fertilizer:
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (Spring and Summer). Reduce feeding in Fall and Winter when growth slows. Avoid over-fertilization, as excessive nutrients can cause leaf tip browning.

Lighting:
Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate moderate to low light conditions. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light may cause leggy growth and loss of variegation. A spot near an East- or North-facing window is ideal.

Temperature:
Thrives in temperatures between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Keep away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and sudden temperature fluctuations, as these can stress the plant and cause leaf drop. Avoid temperatures below 60°F (16°C).

Humidity:
Prefers moderate to high humidity. If the air is too dry, mist the plant occasionally, use a humidity tray, or place it near a humidifier. Dry air can lead to brown leaf edges and crisping. Keeping humidity stable will promote healthy, lush growth.
