Description:
Ivy 'Hedera' is a versatile and popular climbing or trailing plant known for its glossy, lobed leaves, which come in various shades of green, often with variegated patterns. It’s commonly used as a decorative plant in hanging baskets, window boxes, or as a ground cover. Ivy is also an excellent air purifier and can tolerate a variety of growing conditions, making it a low-maintenance and adaptable addition to any home or office. Keep in mind that while it's a beautiful plant, it is toxic to pets if ingested, so it should be kept out of their reach.

Watering:
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Ivy prefers evenly moist soil, but it should not sit in water, as this can lead to root rot. Ensure the pot has good drainage to allow excess water to escape. During the Winter months, reduce watering slightly as the plant’s growth slows.

Fertilizer:
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (Spring and Summer). During the Fall and Winter months, reduce fertilization as the plant is not actively growing. Over-fertilizing can cause leggy growth, so stick to a mild feeding schedule.

Lighting:
Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate moderate to low light conditions. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light may cause the plant to become leggy. Ivy can adapt well to various lighting situations, making it suitable for various indoor locations. A spot near an East- or North-facing window is ideal.

Temperature:
Thrives in temperatures between 60-75°F (15-24°C). Keep away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and sudden temperature changes, as these can cause stress and lead to leaf drop. Avoid temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

Humidity:
Prefers moderate humidity but can adapt to average indoor humidity levels. Ivy 'Hedera' can tolerate drier air but may grow more slowly or exhibit crispy leaf edges in very dry conditions. If the air is too dry, mist the leaves occasionally or place the plant near a humidity tray or humidifier.
