Description:
Tradescantia 'Nanouk' is a stunning cultivar known for its vibrant, colourful foliage. This variety boasts beautiful, variegated leaves that display shades of green, white, and pink, often with a touch of purple. The leaves are fleshy and elongated, adding texture and interest to the plant. 'Nanouk' is a compact, trailing variety, making it perfect for hanging baskets or as a decorative plant in shelves or containers. It’s a relatively low-maintenance plant that thrives in various lighting conditions and can be a beautiful addition to both beginner and experienced plant collections.

Watering:
Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry to the touch. Tradescantia 'Nanouk' prefers evenly moist soil, but it’s important not to overwater. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so make sure the pot has good drainage. During the Winter months, reduce watering as the plant’s growth slows.

Fertilizer:

In lower light conditions, the plant may become leggy, and the colours may not be as vibrant. A North- or East-facing window with filtered light is ideal for this plant.

Temperature:
Thrives in temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Tradescantia 'Nanouk' prefers a warm environment and should be kept away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, or temperatures below 50°F (10°C). A stable, warm temperature will ensure that the plant’s vibrant colours are maintained.

Humidity:
While Tradescantia 'Nanouk' can tolerate average household humidity, it will thrive with moderate to high humidity. In dry conditions, the plant may exhibit brown edges on the leaves. To help increase humidity, consider misting the plant, placing it on a humidity tray, or using a room humidifier.
